    Updating Apex Classic

I bought a full setup from someone a few months ago and have noticed that the firmware needs to be updated. I was told that it is highly recommended to connect directly and not use wifi. I have a cable for this. I have NOT performed any updates and am really needing the run down on the best way to go about doing this without screwing it all up.

Also, are there any known issues with the latest updates? If so, should I wait until the next update? Not sure what version I'm currently running or how to find out.

Directly connecting the Apex to the computer is not recommended - it is the hardest way. Instead, the Apex should be connected to your router with a network cable. The computer must also be connected to the router with a cable (not Wi-Fi). Follow the instructions on the firmware page of the Neptune web site.

Yes, that's what I meant ... not using wifi to update. Thanks for the tip of connecting the computer to the router also because I would not have thought of that.

    Thanks for the info.

Apex Classic firmware updates cannot be installed from a mobile device. A Mac or Windows computer is required.

Thanks for the help. Got it all updated today and it seems to be all good. It took me forever to figure out the login though, because the password had been changed by the previous owner. I wasn't realizing it was a separate login than the owner login.

    Anyway, thanks again!
