    IceCap Module Interface

I currently have everything up and running correctly. My issue is that my cable that goes from VS 1/2 to the IceCap Interface Module isn't long enough. I have it just hanging across the room. I know BRS sells the Gyre (XF150/XF250/XF280 )Control Extension Cable by Maxspect. The thing is that I'd need 3 of them for proper wire management (hiding the wires with current hidden wires). Would it be possible to connect a regular Ethernet cable to VS 1/2 and utilize a "Ethernet cable coupler" on the opposite end to connect to the Alternate Gyre Mode Modified Cable for Gyre Interface Module?

Or would I be better off making my own cable to connect to VS 1/2 and to the Gyre Interface Module?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

You could use the Ethernet coupler and another network cable as long as the coupler is wired straight though. Some of those couplets are wired for crossover, and will not work.

Another option is to use a standard 1/8” headphone extension cable. (Not one for smartphones, which have an extra wire for the microphone)

Would this just plus in as if you were using it as a headphone extension cable or would I have to cut one end off and replace it with an Ethernet plug?
