    If the power goes out and a 1link module is plugged into a BBU but no energy bars are...

    ....will some power get to the base unit through an Aquabus cable so that it can send email alerts (that is if the router is on a battery backup too?)

    Yes the Apex runs on 12v power. So even if the AC goes out to the Eb8's/832's etc, it can receive power through an aquabus cable that is connected to a powered 1link.
