Just plug in a network cable with the other end connected to your router, and the Apex will switch over in a couple of seconds. Optionally, then disable Wi-Fi in the Apex

What if I don't have a router? Can I not connect directly to my laptop? (That's what I did but it's not working).

There are non-standard ways to network with the Apex, but if you come into it without understanding how networking works it can get in the weeds pretty quickly.

Lock Access Point Mode (LAP Mode) turns the Apex into a wireless hotspot that another device can connect and browse to. Alternatively, you can connect the Apex directly to a computer, set up a static IP, and create a two node network. There's instructions on doing something like this on Pg 128 of the comprehensive user manual. If you need more specific help create a new thread so your issue is more visible.

If you use LAP Mode please be sure to change the default username and password for the local dashboard.
