    Multiple tanks

    Hi

I am thinking I want to also monitor my Quarentien Tank set up with my Apex 2016 ..

I have read people reffering to doing this with the single head/ brain unit.

    How ?
I guess i would need the basic probes..
    But what else ??

    Any thoughts or links appreciated..

Making a BIG move ..my 350 gal tank + 100 gal sump is moving from Thai Sala to back porch..
And Quarentine Tank and Sump .moved closer to it..

Not that I use Q-tank much...Just when I add new stock.

    Wifey Re Modeling AGAIN ..
But keeps her happy and brings tank Closer so....

What can I say .." Life in the Tropics and Coconut Palms " ..
    Lol

The Apex head doesn't care how many tanks you are monitoring. I have 5 completely separate systems that I control with one head. I have an EB8 and PM2 at each to allow me to control outlets and have a BOB and temp probe on each tank. Thats enough for what I need it to do, but no matter what you want to do with each tank, you can do it with only 1 apex head. The issue I have run into is the limit on renaming switches and probes. I think there is a limit of 12-20 that you can rename, so some of mine are the generic name and I just have to work with that rather than a more descriptive name.

The other limit you need to know about is that the total length of aquabus cable is 200', thats total not just a max run in one direction. I have a bunch of 25' runs to 4 of my systems and the apex head at the other, so I am at 100'+. With only adding one extra tank it shouldn't be a big deal, just something to be aware of.

    ..........

    Ok thanks..
But if i want more "probes" in Q tank..How do I connnect them?

I there a Module out there that alllows connection of additional probes?

Or am I stuck with 4. Per Head unit ?
Really do not want to go to added expense of second head....,
And ...the Trident will be out ....Some Day 🤣

You can use a PM1 module to add an extra pH/ORP, one temp, and breakout box port. A PM2 can be added to get another cond port, temp, and switches.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
