    Apex Jr. limits on modules

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times.
I know the Apex Jr. has a hardware module limit.
The question is with respect to virtual outlets -- that are essential to programming with AND statements.

    Here is my module list.

HW Type HW Rev SW Rev Addr Name
    Display module 001 011(OK) 001 Disp_1
    EB8 module 001 012(OK) 002 EB8_2
    FMM module 001 011(OK) 003 FMM_3
    EB4 module 001 012(OK) 004 EB4_4
    AFS module 001 002(OK) 005 AFS_5
Does this prevent me from creating "Virtual outlets".

If so, that really needs to be emphasized when buying the unit.
For example, I did not think that having 5 modules would essentially cripple my ability to program the unit.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

There is a limit of 7 Aquabus modules (the display module does not count against this limit).

This limit does not apply to virtual outputs.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

This was helpful. I was beginning to get frustrated. I think I can finally see the virtual outlets.

Yes. I wasn't expecting all of the virtual outlets to have pre-designated names. They appeared at the bottom of the list after I logged back on. Clarification on the #modules was helpful. I've seen documentation for it being less than 7, but I recall that was modified in a later software revision.

Ok cool Virtual outlets are key to a lot of the programming I had in my Classic.

It's an outlet that does not actually exist physically but is used as an intermediate step in programming. The most common use is for AND logic where you want something to occur when this happens and another thing also happens at the same time.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

You can get a great description of them along with examples from the comprehensive reference manual located in the documents under the Neptune Links at the top of the page.

Does the old or the new EB8 count?
