    Variable speed port question

I have a simple DIY moonlight leds that run on 9 volts can I connect them to a variable speed port? Will this damage the apex if I used the port as a 9 volt driver?

The 0-10v output is a control signal only. The variable outputs are not intended to be used as a source of power.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

If you purchase a 0-10V dimmable driver You can use the ports to control DIY moonlights, but the variable ports can't be a driver.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

In case you were still wondering how much current a variable speed port provides, this is from the comprehensive manual:

Also note that while you can vary the voltage on these ports (0 – 10VDC) there is minimal current, something < 10ma. This is for signaling only and is insufficient to power anything.
