Conductivity probe - faulty or what?

    Hello all,
I think there is a problem with the probe since even do completing the whole procedure to calibrate it and to reset it (disconnecting it from the base unit and running the calibration proceduce and then resetting the unit), the reading is not possible.
I made a first attempt with the manual calibration and in the step in which the probe must be inserted in the 53,000 solution, the value was 1000 all the time, it didnīt change a single time.
So I made an attempt for the automatic calibration and it couldnīt be finished for "Acceptable range" couldnīt be set up.
So then I tried once again and did the whole procedure ok (resetting the probe values, resetting the Apex unit, and then manual calibration) and everything works at perfection until the time of introducing the probe in calibration solution, because again I get a value of 1000 which wouldnīt move at all.

And even do the end message is calibration successful, it reads a salinity of 34.9 but it wonīt move from there (it doesnīt fluctuates, which is abnormal)

Does anyone know what the heck is happening?

    kind regards

    Marco

Perform a manual calibration with the probe unplugged or quickly cycle through the calibration without waiting to "reset" it. Then do the normal calibration procedure and make sure the temp of the packet matches tank temp exactly.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

You may also want to isolate the cable’s path to the probe. I ended up having to run mine away and separate from all other electrical cables in order to keep it running accurately.
