Thread: AFS retracts an inch short of closed.

    AFS retracts an inch short of closed.

    Is this fixable? It was intermittent, and now this week, it is everytime. It feeds, then just stops short while retracting.

    The obvious is have you pulled out and looked for obstructions etc? I would open up a support ticket at this point. https://www.neptunesystems.com/support/contact-support/

    No obstructions visible. It may have skipped gears or something. I doubt Neptune would do anything besides have me buy a new one. I guess I'll tinker with it. I hoped someone who has had this issue and conquered it, would chime in.

    Yes, it did skip gears. You can manually wind it back to "zero" through the bottom battery case that is no longer there.
