Painless classic to 2016 model

Hi is anyone that can steer me towards any post on here that can help me change from my classic to the 2016 model?

I did exactly this last week. Was pretty painless.
Although you can’t migrate any schedules over to the 2016 as such.

What I did was got the 2016 connected to Wi-Fi. Linked it to my Apex account so in theory had the classic still live and the 2016.

Switched off the classic. Then temporary plugged in return pump, skimmer, heater to a normal plug socket.
Disconnected all modules, WXM, 1link, PMK, ATK, and my 3 plugbars, probes from the classic.

And started adding to the 2016. Started with one plug bar, then moved on to the 2nd and 3rd plug bar, probes next and finally all modules.
Each time I added them I checked the firmware for updates of the individual modules.

All went as planned.
Also check to see if the 2016 is running the latest firmware before you start.
