Adjusting COND TEMP COMP settings to match true readings good or bad

Can I adjust the temperature compensation settings for my conductivity probe to match my Milwaukee MA887 without any ill effects? Does the Apex probe still function normally?

Assuming you followed all steps properly with the apex calibration (especially making sure the conductivity packet matches tank temp) then the apex is correct and the Milwaukee is wrong. If you calibrate either one in room temp solution and take measurements at tank temp, the error will be several ppt.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

  3. Ok. I think I have figured out how to tell if a cond probe is bad.
