Would this work on a breakout box?

    Hey All

Wondering if I can get the help from some experts. Would love to add switches to a breakout box on my apex that would turn off with the off position and back to auto with the on position. I know I can use fusion but I would like this for being able to take quick actions.

Would this work? Would I be able to have off and auto be my options? Would the lights be able to work? Am I better off going with a 3 way toggle switch?

    Thanks for the help!!!

The toggle covers might be a pain since they automatically open the switches when closed. I personally just use toggle switches from radio shack mounted inside one of their project boxes and soldered on #22AWG speaker wire to my BOB. The lights on that model won't be functional since the switches aren't DPDT. If you want lights, you either need a different model with DPDT switches and use one set for the light and the other for the BOB or make your own in a project box with line rated LEDs or LEDs with properly sized resistors.

Thanks for answering the question on my wiring for breakout box. What if I didn't want the LED to work. Can I just wire the positive and negative to the bob and leave the 3rd prong (that powers the led) not connected to anything?

Thanks for the help, much appreciated!

Yes. You can wire ON to the input port and OFF to ground.

This would not turn the outlet to the manual off position, like you use the slider in fusion. It will stay in unto, however, you can code it such that an off command is the last true command and the outlet will be off
