New Apex Came, Probe containers almost completely dry

So I bit the bullet and purchased a new apex today. Upon opening it I found that the probes had what looked like salt creep around the caps and the containers are almost completely dry. Is this normal? Will the probes be OK as long as there is moisture in container or does there actually need to be liquid? I bought it from BRS.

They should be fine. Just give them 24 hours in your tank to make sure they are fully hydrated just in case and then calibrate.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
