    24v LED strips to EB832

I am curious if I can hook these up to the EB832

    https://www.marinedepot.com/Current_...LTFILD-vi.html

I know the EB832 can handle up to 30watts, so I guess in part it will depend on what else is plugged in as the above uses ~23watts. But it should work assuming nothing else was plugged in right?

Yes, but you will need to make your own cable by splicing a male pin of the right size into a bare 24V ACC cable. You also will probably not like that 12,000 color. If using for moonlights, you want royal blue, and if using for a refugium, you want 6500.

Thanks for the reply. Greatly appreciated.

Think the color will be fine for this application. These are more for "room" lighting than above the tank lighting. Set above the EB832 so I can see what I am doing and above closed loop pumps in the stand. I have used them before above sumps during maintenance and feed modes, but I always plugged them into an AC adapter and normal outlet on an EB8. Figured this would clean up some of the clutter.

If we plugged in two LED strips that were both 23 watts would it:
    • Damaged the EB832
    • Just not power one of the lights
    • Power both lights, but not as bright as normal?

I am guessing they would both light up, but not as bright as normal. I don't like to experiment and risk damaging my Neptune equipment.

DC24 have a limit of 30w each. You can use both DC24/ACC ports each with a load of up to 30w per.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

This. However also keep in mind that all 24V equipment including 1link port and acc ports also has a maximum load of 100W. So you need to both limit each acc port to 30W and limit the total 24V to 100W.

If I were to try to plug in three 23w light strips to a single outlet would it:
    A. Damaged the EB832
    B. Just not power one of the lights
    C. Power both lights, but not as bright as normal?

I am fine with the lights getting a little dim, I am if I need if I were to try it and it just didn't light up when I add too much, but if there is a risk I will damage anything I just won't risk it.

I don't want to damage anything. Using WAVs and PMUPs, so I will pull a 1link module with power supply out of inventory to safely spread the load out. Thanks.
