Hi, I am an Apex Classic user and just purchased an Apex 2016 (received it today, not yet set up). I am interested in keeping the Classic as a backup in case the 2016 fails (my Classic failed once and I was glad I had a backup to use while the original was being repaired). My concern is with the 832. I read Aquamaniac's sticky and see that the 832 is not backwards compatable. I am wondering if this is because of some electrical incompatability which might cause damage to the units, or is simply because the Classic is not capable of providing the monitoring functions like power usage or of running all of the 832's ports like the 1link. If it's just a loss of some of the functionality, would the 832 simply act like another EB8?
