    Changing out equipment

I am going to upgrade my return pump and heater. Can't access my dashboard. Wondering if I can just unplug my old pump and heater and plug my new ones into the same outlet? Will everything continue running the same...temperature settings on heater, etc? Thanks

As long as you don't have code that detects a drop in current or temp and starts shutting down things. I unplug my pumps to clean them and no issue. If the pump your adding is a DC pump obviously you would want to add the controller......is your Fusion Dashboard messed up from the latest round of Firmware upgrades?

I've never had the Fusion dashboard. Basically, my tank has been running with the classic apex which controls lights set to on/off times...no ramp up and down. And pumps set to on. My controller panel needs to be updated at this point. Then I think I might be able to get on Fusion.

What I was asking is, If I unplug my original return pump from the outlet and plug in my new 1200 pump, will it continue to be on? The same with my new thermometer. I never did any special code to dial things in more. The apex was just controlling the basics.

Apex has no knowledge of what is plugged into an outlet. It just turns it ON/OFF as programmed. You said heater in the first post and thermometer in the second. I assume heater is correct. You will want to check that the new heater's built in thermostat is set correctly (if it has one).

Thanks Todd. That’s exactly what I needed to know. I’m in the process of getting my Apex up to date so I can get my dashboard back and get on fusion. Trying to find someone in my area willing to come to my home and help me set it up..for pay of course. Thanks again! Melanie
