Anyone got any hints how to remove the propeller assembly without breaking the tabs or the propeller blades?
I've soaked the unit for 24+ hrs. in vinegar/water. All coralline falls right off. The propeller unit is really stuck!

There's another thread that just popped up on this talking about a tap to the tab. I take my long needle nose pliers and place them on either side of the tabs under the prop and apply LIGHT but firm pressure until it breaks loose. I've done this several times and have had good luck. No matter how lightly I put them back together they seem to always require a bit of force to remove.

Thanks. For me it's more than 'a bit of force'. I'll try the NN pliers. I do have a spare prop unit. Bought two last time I broke one, save on the ridiculous shipping.
I tried tapping. Hard to judge how much force helps or breaks! With a better design this kind of tactic should not be necessary.
