Loss of access after power failure

We had a brief power failure this morning. When the power came back on, the Apex started up just fine and everything seemed to be running just fine, except that I was no longer able to access the Apex either locally or through Fusion. I restarted the controller by inserting a paper clip end into the tiny hole on the panel and the Apex restarted and I had full access again.

So this is all well and good but if I hadn't been home I would have been panicked. Is this expected behavior?

If it matters, my controller is hard-wired; I'm not using WI-FI.

Did it load new firmware on restarting ?
or had you done a firmware update while back but not done a restart ?

while back I ran into a non responsive apex that needed a paper clip after power cycle, folllwoing what looked like a firmware update. It had updated day prior and said it was on new AOS but needed paper clip reset next time I power cycled it. Who knows ..... more firmware ghosts?

Doesn't seem to be the case but that's an interesting thought. Still would be a problem if it happened while I was on vacation.
