Low voltage draw on an EB8 triac

What is the least amount of voltage/amp draw that should be pulled from a triac on an EB8? I have researched it a bit but most of what I found relates to the use of an aqua lifter pump which is next to nothing.
In my situation, I currently set up a diy ATO using a wall wart (12v/2.0a) and a Tunze metering pump (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/repla...r-5000-02.html).
The pump label and what I have found online, indicate that the pump works at a maximum voltage of 12v and 1.2a.
Do you think that this is enough to keep the triac from sticking?

    Thanks,
    Tom

voltage has nothing to do with it. It's the load (current) and the power factor that come into play. Typically, it's the very small AC pumps which draw only a few watts that have an iussue w/ TRIACs. You should be fine using that wall wart.
