    Input Renames Limited?

The number of Probes/Switches that can be renamed appears to be limited. I have a fairly large system and recently added two FMMs, and also wanted to give some switches meaningful names. This ran me out of rename options. I have had to resort to picking inputs that I can revert to default designations so I can rename new inputs - forcing me to choose which ones I prefer to have meaningful names.

Perhaps I am not doing something right, or is there a workaround for this? Or, I am now stating my entry for the wish list for a future firmware install that will open this up.

Yes, there is a limit. 24 inputs may be given custom names in the Apex Classic models.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

Thankyou for the reply, RussM. FYI, by actual count, I have exactly 26 inputs with custom names.

I ran out of probe names years ago ..... Best 'work around' is to use virtual outlets.

There is no limit on virtual outlets or names for them, correct?

There is a total outlet limit (sum of actual and virtual), though I don't recall exactly what it is for the various models.

I don't recall the exact number but it's a little over 100. Support can raise that threshold but it can often cause some bugs if they do (at least on the classic. The 2016 has more processing power and can likely handle it much better).
