    Fuge Light on EB8 Bar

I have a question.. Is it ok to plug my fuge light into port 3 of the EB8 bar?

    Fallback OFF
    Set OFF
If Time 22:00 to 08:00 Then ON
If Tmp > 79.5 Then OFF
    If FeedA 000 Then OFF
    If FeedD 000 Then OFF

From what I understand there are certain ports on the EB8 that are for certain things. Not sure what they are.

Chances are that your light will operate properly. But my supernatural powers are a bit weak this morning - especially those powers for long-distance mind reading. Tell us what you are using as a ‘fuge light so that someone might be able to answer your question.

I am running a refugium, so will be lighting and growing chaeto at night when my lights go off on the main display tank.

That will be fine. The issue of needing certain things on certain ports only applies to the EB8 and not the EB832. The rules for the EB8 are that low wattage inductive loads (like small pumps, aqualifters, dosing pumps, etc) must be put on outlets 4 or 8. This is to prevent a physical property with triacs from getting stuck ON when you turn them OFF. The other rule is that devices with a current draw between 5A and 10A must also be on 4 or 8 so you don't fry the outlet from overload.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
