    BSPP fittings source?

I know they supply BSPP to SLIP unions for the 1" flow sensor, but I like my plumbing as clean as possible.

I am adding UV Sterilizer with 2" slip fittings, so if I could find a Slip / BSPP reducer I would be in heaven. I'd also need a BSPP (Female) to Barb fitting. I'm too picky I know.

I purchased two of FMM units for my DIY Water Changer. I was using floats, but one failed a few months ago, that's why I'm going to add the flow sensor. The magnets are handy for holding the optical sensors, but I don't really trust them. I need to build a DIY holder, but no epiphanies so far.

I'm using one optical sensor as my Top Off shutoff (backed up with a timer and overflow drain), my second sensor is the shutoff for my bilge pump (backed up with a timer and a third sensor below the filter input), my third sensor is below the filter input and shuts off the filter and sends an email alert if activated. The flow sensor will do the same if the filter fails; shut off the filter and send an email alert.

I also have a sensor in the tank which shuts off the filter if the water in the tank gets too high (overflow failure) and sends an email alert. I also have a Water on Floor sensor on the 2nd FMM. No connections for the last two inputs. YET.

I've yet to find a supplier for specialty parts like that in BSPT. The best I have found so far is this place but their selection is half of what bix box stores have. https://flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?p...-BSPT-Fittings I don't know what they were thinking using BSPT instead of NPT.

Thanks I did find these guys, I have used them before for hard to find stuff. I thought eBay might turn up some UK stuff, but no joy.

Yeah not sure why they did not use NPT.

OK, lots of choices here, but mostly brass. Also, they don't seem to sell direct, so I assume the prices are scary.

BSPT isn't really used in UK either. They use metric BSPP so that wouldn't help you. BSPT is primarily used in China and Japan so you might have luck there, but since they also use metric the options for American units will likely be dismal.

That is brass for use in high pressure gas lines (hence the high price). It will dissolve and crash your tank if you use that in saltwater.

Nope, strictly freshwater, I have high maintenance fish. Still not crazy enough to pay that kind of money. I did see the 3/4" version in SS, so I assume the larger version also exists in SS.

    Yep, here it is:

    Much better price too.

Oh. If it's freshwater then that opens a lot of options for you. Most BSPT fittings in American dimensions are designed for high pressure gas lines so brass, copper, stainless, and copper are all acceptable in addition to plastic only choices us saltwater folk are limited to.

Alibaba only has male BSP to female NPT, at least in the size I want.

The threads on FS-50, FS-100, and FS-250 flow sensors are BSPP, not BSPT.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

Thanks, I did go back and check the manual before buying. I ended up with these:

I think the Australian site is BSPP too, but they mention BSPT in the description.

Who knew that large fish can swamp your overflow sensor. Fortunately the filter snapped back on because of the way the filter code is written.
