    Ruined Salt probe

Yesterday while moving around stuff in my sump, I accidentally overtightened the screw holding my salinity probe and I heard it crack. I was looking at the graph below and it shows a huge drop around the same time that that happened. Is this probe ruined?

    Most likely.

    Ruined Salt probe

Ok, I’m thinking of not even replacing it. I haven’t read too many positive posts on their accuracy, no offense.

They are actually incredibly accurate. Their directions just don't stress the importance of matching calibration fluid temperature with the tank temperature and tuning the temp compensation value to match your tank (of less importance than the first point). If those two items are met they are actually amazingly accurate.

Alright, I’ll keep it in mind if I find one at a discounted price.
