    optical sensor testing

is there any way to test them at the plug using an ohmmeter? I,m trying to find out if the issue I have is with the sensors or the module

Not with just a voltmeter. Optical sensors are three wire devices with source power, a shared ground and an analog output that the FMM converts to an open/closed reading.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
