    Red Sea Reefer 250 - Cor 15

Has anyone had any luck setting the minimum speed without getting excessive noise from the primary drain line (design)? I think it might because of the drain restriction settings and or intank design on the primary line. Attempted numerous settings but to no avail. Just seeing if anyone else has had any luck.

So far, best case scenario is to have it at around 35-40% (minimum) to keep some turn over... not ideal for equilibrium but keeps the noise to a minimum.

I'm running a COR-20 on my 250 reefer. It took a while to get the pump and drain set to run silent. The key is to make very small adjustments on the drain and wait a few minutes. I was able to significantly increase flow in the tank and get the drain to become silent but some of the corals were moving way to much so I backed the max speed down to 20% and adjusted the drain until it was silent again. I have the IQ level set at 1% low and 20% high.

    James,
I see you are in NJ, where did you get your Cor20 from?

I pre-ordered it from BRS on 21 December and it arrived last week.

James. I PM's you but I noticed you posted above that you are now running the Cor20 on your Reefer 250. Is it now working? Because you have an earlier post stating it was too fast?

At 1% on the feed cycle it was still pushing quite a bit of water into the DT. I added a tee to the return line with a gate valve to bleed off enough water to stop the flow when the pump is at 1% and then bumped up the max speed 1-2% to make up for the gate valve. Right now I'm running the COR at 19% max and all is good in the tank.

Gonna be setting up my Cor tomorrow. Been waiting for all my fittings. Why can you set the pump for 0 for feed mode or just shut pump off??
