    Apex Problems/Questions

Hi....Couple questions I have. I just filled my tank and turned everything on and have some issues with some things with my Apex.

    1. Why is my skimmer not coming on automatically?
I ran the task to setup my Cor-20, its running at 43%
    Fallback ON
    Set ON
    If FeedA 010 Then OFF
If Output COR-20 Speed < 90 Then OFF
    Defer 008:00 Then ON

    2. Why are my WAV’s not on all the time? Is it because of the errors below?

    3. Why do I keep getting these alarms over and over again?
    Apex Fusion Alarm: apex
    Date: 2018-01-20 23:59:48 -0500
    Status: OFF
    Statement: Set OFF

    Date: 2018-01-20 18:07:25 -0500
    Status: ON
Statement: If Swx6_2 CLOSED Then ON

You need to provide the code for the skimmer and wav pumps.

I don't know what that switch is since you didn't rename it to something meaningful.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Also....does the 1link outlet need to be set to always ON? Here is what the outlet is set to now for some reason!

Your WAVs are probably off because you have two different codes for each WAV and it looks like the one that is actually active is at address 7, which is set to be 100% for 5 minutes than off for 5 minutes. Copy the code you have over to address 7.

The skimmer is off either because the COR speed is below the threshold or because you haven't waited the 8 minutes for it to come back on.

The alert you are getting means the upper ATK sensor is getting wet from splashing or actually being covered and the Set OFF alert is an all clear. Add the line Defer 001:00 Then ON to your email outlet so it won't alert you for a quick splash.

That looks like an energy bar outlet. If you have the 1link power supply plugged in there it should be always on.

Yes, It's plugged into an EB8.....so I will set that module to be always on and hopefully it will solve most of that.

Maybe you can connect some time and take a look at my setup to see if things are cool....but in the meantime I will make the suggested changes now/in the morning and see what happens.....I will let you know.

Ok, so I set the WAV outlet to always on, I increased my WAV speeds a little bit across the board and copied the values from one to the other so they are identical now.
I set the skimmer to defer for 5 minutes, so the code on the skimmer outlet is now this:
    Fallback ON
    Set ON
    If FeedA 010 Then OFF
If Output COR-20 Speed < 90 Then OFF
    Defer 005:00 Then ON

Now for the COR-20, I ran the calibration and its max is set at 28%, but the 100% for power actually means my 28% right, because I set 28% as my max during calibration so that becomes the 100% power?!? So the line for <90 should be fine right?

The percents are after calibration values, so 90 is fine.

    Sorry, couple more questions....
How do I get alerts for temp, ph, salinity too high and too low?

Add Defer 001:00 Then ON to the email.

Also go to the modules page on the classic dashboard and make sure the optical sensors are configured to optical not auto-detect.

You can add alerts for your probes using this basic form.

If probename > X Then ON

I also suggest you read through the comprehensive users manual as well as manuals and quick start guides for any module you own. It helps a lot to know what the tasks are doing so you can modify them to your liking.

Also looking through your code summary, you have a huge problem in your doser program. You have them set simply for pH control not the amount you want dosed and you can easily crash your tank from overdosing Ca and Alk. Check out this calculator to generate the code you need based on the volume you need to dose.

Yes, I didn't even get to that part yet, I just filled the tank yesterday and turned everything on.

Here is my FMM Module on the classic dashboard.....Also what is the best way to reboot the Apex? Unplug both my aquabus cables going to the EB8's?

Just added all this to Email Outlet....how does it look?
    Set OFF
    If Error NEPTUNE_ATK Then ON
    If Swx6_2 CLOSED Then ON
    If Error COR-20 Then ON
If pH > 8.4 Then ON
If pH < 7.8 Then ON
If Tmp > 81 Then ON
If Tmp < 77 Then ON
If Condx4 < 1.023 Then ON - This gave an error so I removed it.
If Condx4 > 1.025 Then ON - This gave an error so I removed it for now.

    You forgot

    Defer 001:00 Then ON

The reason the cond line didn't work is because you put specific gravity values not ppt. The cond probe can only display in ppt or mS/cm. 35ppt is the salinity of natural sea water.

The best way to reboot using the display by going to net setup and then clicking restart. Unplugging it and plugging back in usually works identically though.

    Thank you!

Another quick question...What range do you usually put for your heaters?
Is 78 - 79 too far of a range from each other?

I fixed the Condx4 email outlet error I kept getting. I had to rename the probe to Salt then it took the code in the email alarm outlet.
