    Exclamation Apex died... I think.

I came home to my temp alarm being on. Since I'm running my apex classic on a reptile tank, I immediately suspected the heat lamps, as the bulbs usually only last a couple months. I tried replacing both of them. Neither would come on. I tried installing a new fixture and bulb. Nothing.

I decided to power cycle my unit. It blinked yellow twice, then stayed yellow. I tried power cycling it a few times, including leaving it off for over an hour at one point. Half the time it blinked yellow then stayed off, the rest it blinked then stayed yellow. All 3 modules blink yellow, but the display won't come on, and I can't access the unit remotely. Fusion and local connections won't connect. The apex unit feels warm to the touch, which I've never noticed before. Is it dead???

Doesnt mean its dead. Do a firmware force and as soon as it boots back up, update your bootloader so it doesn't get stuck in bootloader again.

Firmware force: unplug apex. Start firmware update. Let it fail to send a few times. Plug apex back in. It should update firmware at this point. If it hasn't for a few minutes, repeat process.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

And a simple test: disconnect LAN cable from the unit and power cycle it.
So the unit will boot without connection, maybe work. With a old boot loader I have this problem, the apex start only with LAN cable unplugged
