Adding a wave pump to mix the Dos KH / Ca

I’m trying to add a wave pump to the DOS programe to mix the KH and Ca on the Sump but wave pump is always on instead just work during the DOS dosing. Any ideas for this to work properly?

The DOS will only show definitive ON/OFF states if you use an OSC statement or virtual outlet to trigger a profile. When using the wizard it will appear as always ON no matter what you do.

If I use the image program but change the “tdata” to “osc” it will work, right?

No. The process is fairly complicated. First you would need to divide your daily dose into hourly, every 30 minute or every 15 minute amounts. Then create a DOS profile that does that amount for 1 dose. Then determine approximately how long that dosing would be active for by dividing the amount dosed by the speed of the pump. Then you would use an OSC statement with the ON time above the dosing time and a total period equal to what you used for dividing earlier.

    Ex.

    4000ml per day
    Dosing on 30 minute intervals

    Per dose amount = 4000/48 = 83.3 ml

Dosing speed 125ml/min (effective as low as 42ml/min)

    OSC ON time > 83.3/42 = 2 min.

Using that math (in this example), I would use a DOS profile as described above and use this code in the DOS instead of the tdata.

    OSC 000:00/003:00/027:00 Then profilename

Thank you for your reply, and I understood it, the only thing is how do I know the dosing speed of Neptune Dos to do the maths... I want to add around 30ml everyday at 7am. The OSC I understood:

    Fallback off
    OSC 420:00;030:00;990;00 then profilename

For that, you can use 7ml/min and it will complete the dose in somewhere between 5 and 13 minutes, so that 30 minute window is fine.

It's a dropdown when you make the profile.
