    Email and Text Alarm Issue

Hello all, I recently had a disaster occur of which I was not notified by email or text, which is very frustrating as it clearly defeats the entire purpose of the alarms.

    https://gyazo.com/9f5cbee3aa2dac467756596aa5d67c94

Above is a copy of my alarm log, however not once was I notified by email or text.

    Alert Statement
    Set OFF
    If DT_Tmp > 82.0 Then ON
    If DT_Tmp < 75.5 Then ON
    If Swx5_1 CLOSED Then ON
If Power EB8_3 Off 001 Then ON
If Power EB8_8 Off 001 Then ON
If Power Apex Off 001 Then ON

    Email Alarm Statement
    Set OFF
    If DT_Tmp > 82.0 Then ON
    If DT_Tmp < 75.5 Then ON
    If Swx5_1 CLOSED Then ON
If Power EB8_3 Off 001 Then ON
If Power EB8_8 Off 001 Then ON
If Power Apex Off 001 Then ON

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I dont see any issues with the code. The log seems to indicate it was activating. So do you have your email setup correctly? My recollection is that there is a way to send a test email. Have you done this? Is the Email/Alert outlet(s) set to AUTO?

Thx for the response. I have tested the default settings and it sends me a test text, but not a test email so obv something is not correct, but unfortunately I do not know how to fix it.

Yes, and have followed those directions to set things up, both tests on email and text alerts are going through as I do get them when I run the test, but clearly something is not working as I had an issue on Feb 1 as indicated above and did not receive any messages.

Is it possible I am not getting the actual alerts because this box is not checked?

That would definately be your problem. I can confirm that tests will work but no actual alarms will trigger if that box is not checked.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

You can actually test that it works by setting the alert to manual ON or unplug a probe for a minute.

The alarm is repeating every hour, because that is the repeat interval. You can change that if desired. But the main reason is because the condition remained TRUE over that entire time. Now that you removed the Conductivity check, that will eliminate the majority of the alarms. To check for loss of power, you will need backup power from a UPS both for the Apex and modem, router, etc. I dont have the Apex 2016, but you would need to check for Amps/Watts for the various equipment you mentioned.
