    COR-20 Plu mbing Help

I am running COR-20 on each of my returns, 2 total.

The plumbing on this tank is 1.25", but the problem is the bulkhead on my sump is 1". Should I go from 1.25" on the COR and reduce for the 1" bulkhead then it goes back to 1.25" or just keep it at 1" from the COR-20 to the bulkhead?

    Thanks

You will incur some head loss by going down to 1 and back. Whether that matters or not depends on your current head loss without that reducer, your system flow requirements, and wether or not you want them to be fully redundant.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Thanks for the reply. So the bulkheads in the sump being only 1 inch cannot be removed from the equation. Will it be that big of deal to use 1" from the pump to the bulkhead? We are talking maybe 15 inches" Or would it be better to use 1.25 from the pump to the bulkhead even though it reduced at the bulkhead. After the bulkhead it goes to 1.25 into the tank.

Do 1 in from the pump to the bulkhead. The minor loss from the reducer will far exceed the reduction in friction loss from the larger pipe.
