Two Energy bars one on an inverter one on wall outlet

I am currently thinking about adding a second energy bar. However my current energy bar is connected to an inverter with a transfer switch with a battery backup. If I lose power the battery kicks on. I am thinking of plugging the additional energy bar into the wall outlet instead of the inverter. I'll keep all the nonessential items on the second energy bar that's plugged into the wall and all of the essential pumps etc on the battery backup. Does anybody know if this should work? Or will the aquabus cable that connects both energy bars somehow mess this idea up? Thanks in advance.

Should work fine. I have done that myself (With a UPS)

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

+1. That is how I have mine configured. You can then program your outlets on backup to operate differently when mains power is lost to conserve battery life.
