    Salinity probe manual calibration

    Probe is about 6 months old. Used Milwaukee digital electronic Salinity refractometer. The values are a few numbers off. Can I just manually set the Apex probe to match the Milwaukee?

    You can't manually adjust the calibration.

    When you calibrated the probe did you float the packet in the tank for 30 minutes first and keep it touching tank water while it was settling? If not that is likely why the two don't match.

    You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

    Presuming your'e talking about the MA887 here; I have the Hanna version of that device. If that's the case, then apply the +/- precision uncertainty listed by the manufacturer and see if you're in that zone. If so, then they do match....
