    Neptune Apex AWC

Hey guys I’m currently running a Red Sea 170 with the manual ATO I know the reservoir is small but it’s not a big deal for me to fill it up every 2-3 days it gives me a little piece of mind In case it ever gets stuck open, it’s not a large volume of water. I have the Apex Neptune controller and I want to get the DOS to do AWC, will this work with my manual ATO? Does it remove water and add water at the same time/ rate? Will the water level stay at the same level or will this cause my manual ATO to over fill the sump? I Run an Octo skimmer, gfo/ carbon reactor and refugium in my sump.

It adds and removes at the same time. It is much better to do a pump driven ATO with floats or opticals but the DOS will work fine either way as long as you don't let the reservoir get empty or your gravity fed ATO fails.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
