Purchase US Version & Use In The UK...is this supported

Reference the topic of Neptune not producing a non us version of the new power bar listed in this thread -
    https://forum.neptunesystems.com/sho...pec-2016-Model

Is it possible that I purchase a the APEX in the US but use a transformer for the power bar? Will Neptune support this configuration? If so, this could solve this last remaining issue I have before purchasing an Apex and an easy fix to the problem listed in the thread above.

    Many thanks for any advice.

Will it work? Yes. Is it supported? No. Many threads on this :-)

It is not supported and will invalidate the warranty. Some have successfully done so, but I believe most had problems just using a transformer and also needed a 60Hz inverter.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Plus the fact that you’d need to get US equipment to plug into it, all unsupported with no warranty.

But please do send Neptune an email via their contact link on their webpage. I think they need all the data they can to realise there is a very large market outside the US wanting feature parity

I think I will give up on the Apex, just tired trying to get this point across to them. They do not seem interested in solving this issue so I think this has made my mind up on the controller i will purchase.

    Many thanks for the responses

You can purchase most Apex Fusion kit, including a UK compatible power bar EBS6, in the UK from some Maidenhead Aquatic stores or order from Complete Aquatics or H2O Aquatics. The only module I had to order from the US was the AWM to control my Hydra 52s. This was second hand as Apex have discontinued this module.

Please note: AWM control only old Hydra, not the new Hydra HD.

MeoMat, I am having difficulty attaching my two Hydra 52s (not HDs) to Fusion via the AWM. The Fusion display is showing all four Hydras but with only two configured. The Fusion/AWM must have connected with the Hydras otherwise how did they detect that Hydras are present. However, the Hydras do not seem to respond to the programmed configuration. Any thoughts as to why?
