    Battery backup

I just purchased an Apex 2016 to upgrade my Jr. I wanted to add a ups so I would have some surge protection, limited battery backup to send messages, and a way to clean up generator power when I am using that during a power outage. (My internet typically stays up and the router is on a ups) can I use the ups and an ice cap or vortech battery together? I’d like the icecap battery to power my gyres because they’ll last considerably longer than just a ups.I understand that a ups would not be adding much time, but with the ability to tell the apex to shut down pretty much everything and keep only my gyre outlet on and maybe an emergency jebao in the sump I may be able to add a few hours before the icecap or vortech battery has to kick in. I have a generator as well. The battery is to pass the time until the generator can be set up and for small power blips.

Yes. You can use them in tandem.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
