I can’t see the extra channels on my new Radion Gen4 Pro light

I have a 2016 Apex (firmware 5.03_2A18) and a WXM module (firmware 13) that has been running my Radion Gen3 Pro lights for a few years.

I just got a Radion Gen4 Pro light and connected it to the WXM module, but when I go into the wizard setup I don’t see the Warm White and Violet channels.

I can set up a profile that includes settings for Warm White and Violet and when I assign that profile to the light the correct LED’s do light up, but I was hoping to set up the light with the wizard and not with profiles. Am I missing something or is there something I need to do to see the new channels?

    Thanks,
    Brett

In Fusion try going to the Radion outlet then clicking on the on the Save to Apex Icon (Cloud icon) even though you have not changed the programming then leave that page like to the dashboard and then go back into the G4Pro outlet and see if you can see the additional color channels

Unfortunately that didn’t help. I did discover that I can work around this by modifying the tdata lines. After I create my schedule and program the channels I can see with the wizard, then I can go into the advanced configuration and add data for the two extra channels.

Each tdata line starts with the time, followed by two 0’s. The next parameter is overall intensity, then the next 6 are intensity for the 6 original channels. Then the next two parameters are intensity for warm white, then violet. So by manually changing those parameters from 0 to the intensity I want for each of the two channels I can get it to work.

It’s not pretty, but at least it does what I want in the end.

In addition to the WXM firmware update, did you also try doing the WXM RF Update?

I did. I actually wasn’t even able to control the new channels with the profile until I did that. Unfortunately it didn’t help with the wizard.

Look at the sticky at the top of this page.
Russ explains how to update so you can see all the channels.

Thanks for the reply. I didn’t see that yesterday, but I just watched the video now. I had done everything but reboot the apex (although I had a brief power failure yesterday evening that rebooted the apex for me). I just verified that my firmware levels, including the RF firmware are good according to the numbers in the video and I manually rebooted the apex, but unfortunately it still didn’t make a difference.

I guess I’ll put in a ticket as the video suggested and see if they have any other ideas.

If you look at your WXM module, does it look like this?

Hmmm... crazy, something isn't quite right.
I see a few of the Rev. Levels are off a bit, wonder if that's it.
See what Neptune has to say.

The only G4 light is the Radion_Fuge, which is Rev 2.2.15. The other lights with Rev 2.1.15 are all G3, so it makes sense that they are at a different level. I did submit a ticket a few minutes ago, so I’ll let you know what they come back with.

Just heard back from Neptune. Turns out the issue is that I’m using the freshwater version of the Gen 4 XR15 Pro (I’m using the freshwater version since I have it over my fuge). The freshwater light isn’t officially supported by the wxm, so it seems that my workaround is the best option.
