    DOS distance from tank

I'm in the process of building a cabinet for my new apex. I don't know if I should have the 2 dos's and ddr's under the tank or move them out to the cabinet. I've never dosed before so I'm not exactly sure how it would work. I'm worried about losing some fluid if there's a shortage of Triton again. Will the dos pump air until all of the fluid comes out? Suggestions and advice welcome!!

You can put it wherever is convenient. The DOS is a peristilic pump, which means it automatically breaks siphon and cannot be damaged by "running dry". It basically squeezes the liquid through and holds it in place when it's not turning.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

So it will continue to push the liquid if the ddr is dry but liquid still left in the lines, right?
