    Help mounting. Extremely frustrated!!

Extremely frustrated. Am I an idiot? I just got the apex 2016. For the life of me I cannot get the energy bar to mount on the mounting plate. I screwed the plate to my stand, but the vents on the bottom of the energy bar stick out to far prevting me from sliding the power bar over the mounting plate. What in the world am I doing wrong? To me this seems like a terrible design flaw.

Is your mount attacked backwards? The recesses for the screw heads should be pointing outward.

That’s what I thought but the plate doesn’t slide into the apex that way. It only slides in the other way which won’t work once the plate is Mounted. Only way the plate fires is recess out flat side towards apex.

It’s like my mounting plate was printed backwards.

It should be pretty straightforward, everything fits perfectly, it's actually a really nicely designed mount. It's possible you could have a defective one. Maybe post a picture and it might be clear why you're having a problem with it.

It is an injection molded part so they will all be the same unless there is a short shot or defect with it. Is the surface you are screwing it to flat?

Pretty sure I had a defect. I ended up getting it to work using a knife and some carving. Mine definitely didn’t look like the pictures
