    Kessil's with Apex Questions

    Hi,
I am new to Kessils so I have a couple questions on how to hook them up to my Apex. I have 3 A360WE Tuna Blue's, getting ready to hook them up. I'll daisy chain them then hook to the Apex hopefully.
    I have an Apex Gold

    1. To hook them to my Apex can I just buy 1 of the Control Cable - Type 1 and go from the first/or last one to the V1/V2 port on the head unit on the Apex?
or do I need to buy a VDM to hook it to my Apex?

Will both ways work, only 1 way, if so what is the way, and do I get the same controllability from both?

    Thanks!

You need 1 apex to kessil cable and then daisy chain to the other two as long as you want them all the same. If you want different settings for each light you would need seperate cables.

And that one cable can plug right into the apex head unit in v1?

Yes. It uses both V1 and V2 one for color and one for intensity, but it's all in one plug and cord.

    Sweet!
Then why do some people get the VDM Module and hook it up that way when you have the ports you need already?

    1. Not all Apex models have built-in variable outputs, so adding a VDM is how owners of those models get 0-10v control capability.

    2. People use them for lights, pumps, powerheads, etc., and sometimes 4 just isn’t enough, so the VDM allows additional variable outputs to be added as needed.
