    Do salinity probes die?

I purchased a 3 year old PM2 module and salinity probe from someone off the forums. I went through all the steps on the controller to enable it but still get a zero reading for conductivity. Do these probes just die and give a zero reading? I would have expected maybe they become less accurate but not to the point of zero?

I haven't calibrated it yet, have the solution on the way for that. Still will calibration get me from zero to correct?

Run a manual calibration with it unplugged, then try a calibration. If it still reads 0, the probe or the PM2 might be bad. Did the previous owner show you it working on his tank?

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Ok I'll try that. He said it worked when he disconnected it a couple months ago. It was kept dry but I believe that's normal for this probe.

How did the calibration goes? I’ve got the exact same thing overhere.
I’ve tried to calibrate de probe but can’t get the salinity probe work accurate.

It’s always showing 26PPM after calibration even when my refractometer is saying 35ppm. Even after I’ve used the 53000 solution my display shows 26 with the probe still in the (53000) calibration fluid.

I’ve tried to set the compensation in apex.local from 2.2 to 4.4, the display shows 33ppm. If I set the compensation higher then 4.4 (like 4.5-4.9) the result on my display will be 0.2/0.3ppm instead being higher then the 33ppm.

Is the probe died or do I do something wrong?

(If there are some spelling mistakes, sorry for my overseas grammer)
