Optical sensor detected as Flow Sensor 1”

So I installed an optical sensor today for my ATO (ATK-FMM) however when I went to use the Tasks to help me set it up, I found that it wasn’t available (Swx4_4) that’s because it’s being detected as a flow sensor.

Any thoughts on how to correct this?

    Thanks

Make sure it's seated all the way in the port.

The interesting thing is I discovered the sensor was not plugged in all the way. One more slight click and it settled in.

After further research, it's not really random for the most part. The vast majority of times it detects incorrectly, it's a cable not pushed in all the way. The main reason you need to actually set it up properly is for correct failure modes and to prevent it from changing types if the connector becomes loose or disconnected.
