I have a basement sump where my apex is located. The DT is directly above it in the living room. My question is can I run the 3.5 stereo jack female end through the floor plug in the adapter cable over to the apex and just plug the power for the kessil into the wall upstairs. Or do I need to bring the power down to the eb8?

Kessil do not need to be plugged into the wall. You can just run a stereo cable and it will work fine.
You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
