Wav placement in a Redsea Reefer 250

    Afternoon all

Want to obtain a set of WAV`s for the above tank. Will the powerhead magnets be strong enough to allow me to connect then to the back of the tank.

I ask because the glass on the back wall is thicker than the front and sides.

    Thanks

    Andy

Should be. I believe the WAVs can handle up to 3/4" glass

I have a single wav mounted on the back wall of my Red Sea Reefer 250 and have no issues. A single one running at 1% provides plenty of flow for the tank. Two might be too many for your 250.

What position do you have it in? I can’t seem to get it right in the back glass I keep mines on the side and it’s too big

It is about three inches from the corner on the back wall at the top of the tank an it is facing towards the front of the tank.

I have 2 on the back wall of my RS 650 Peninsula which has 3/4" glass and it holds fine. I top mine out at 45% and it seems pretty good flow for a 63" tank.
