After calibration, when you put the probe back in your tank be sure to fully submerge it in the water, tip it upside down, and shake it gently underwater. You will see a lot of bubbles come out of the probe. Once the bubbles stop, you can then tip it back upright and mount it. I found that these trapped bubbles throw off the readings substantially.
I also use this inversion technique when calibrating. You can put the calibration solution in a small plastic bag and use a rubber band to close it around the probe. You can then invert the probe so it's still in the calibration fluid but the air bubbles can escape the probe.
