Ok, so I live out in the country in East Texas where if a cloud rolls in at any time and looks like rain the power goes out at any time. Most times it is short periods of 5-10 mins or just a power ON/OFF, just enough to turn off everything and come right back on. But I want to get all my bases covered.. I have read the PDF @RussM Posted and Im going by the Scenario - Ultimate setup. While most outages are short time, I want to be covered just in case it becomes a lengthy ordeal with no power for a while.
Last month I tested the limits of my Visa and it's amazing they just kept approving order after order... So, In the last month I have went from a 2 year old 70G setup to the new system all in one shot. Hey if your gonna play.. PLAY!.. I have put as much details as I can to keep from going back and answering the "WHAT IS" Questions
Rea Sea Reefer Deluxe XXL 750 Aquarium (White) 200 Gallons with 4 x AI Hydra 26 HD LED Lights
Neptune Systems 2016 APEX
2nd Neptune Systems New APEX Energy Bar 832
Neptune Systems LDK Leak Detection Kit
Neptune Systems New APEX Display Module
Maxspect XF250 Gyre on ICECAP Interface
APC 1000VA Compact UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector, Back-UPS Pro (BX1000M)
Now the setup.. I'd like some input on coding ideas or where I may have things not just right and would work better ideas.
- From the PDF I see BLUE lines connecting the 2 EB8's and also one of the EB8s to the APEX head. I assume these are AquaBus ports connecting everything together?
- Apex 12 Volt adapter is connected to the Wall Outlet by-passing the UPS then to the APEX Head unit.
- UPS is connected to the Wall outlet
- EB832_3 is connected to the UPS for Backup (Keep running if power outage)
- EB832_2 is connected to the wall Outlet by-passing the UPS. (Non-critical if power outage)
- WIFI Router connected to a separate UPS for computer systems
- High Power draw items are separated between EB832s to divide power draw
- Considering adding a Air Pump that comes on if power is lost to add O2 to the water?
Power Consumption at FULL Power
