Can variable speed port turn off lights if temp gets too hot?

    Good morning,

I have 3 Kessil A160WE connected to the variable speed port but the power cords are not connected to the Apex power bar. So my question is if I add the following statement to both channels would the lights turn off if the temp gets too hot? If Temp > 80 Then Off. Or do I need to use the apex power bar outlets to do that?

    Thanks for the help.

You can do that. You also want a Min Time then OFF statement to keep it from flickering when it's right on the edge of the setpoint. You only need to add those lines to the intensity channel and color can be left without it.

Also, I would suggest using the wizard over if time statements and profiles for your base code. It looks nicer, is and is much easier to change later.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

How would the statement look with the Min Time then Off? Do I add it to the temp statement or does it have to be a separate statement?

    Its a seperate statement.

    Min Time 010:00 Then OFF

Would make sure it remains off for at least 10 minutes when turned off.

The wizard is much easier and the lights schedule looks way better. Thanks for the help
