    DYI Adjustable Optic Sensor Mount

So I needed an adjustable mount to hold 4 optical sensors, and it had to match my Synergy Reef Systems Red/White sump.

    So this happened!

Mount: HDPE and Nylon Thumb Screw

    Adjustable Bracket - Acrylic

Components - Mount, Thumb Screw, Bracket, 316 SS Flathead Screws

    Assembled

    Mounted In Sump

Very nice. I would make sure you got the correct grade of stainless steel so it doesn't corrode and rust when it gets covered in saltwater when you turn off the return. You could also go titanium as well.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Just realized you did put the grade. That is not marine rated. You want 316 or 316Ti if you want stainless or get titanium screws that will last forever.

    Thanks!

Those are 316 SS and Passivated. Box of 10 $3.88
Same in Titanium were $8.00 each! Not that I'm cheap, but the 316SS will work.
But thanks for the heads up.

Sorry, but I’m old school! Not 3D printed, not CNC.

My own design, drawn in Autocad 2D, then all machining done on a Bridgeport.
