I went down to do some testing this morning after a few changes I had made last night. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the return chamber was extremely low and my ATO was not on and the ATO res was full. My fusion app was showing that switch 1 was closed and that the ATO was working.... but obviously it wasn't. I then unplugged the pump from the eb8 and plugged it directly into an outlet, no dice. It was dead. Luckily I had a new aqualifter sitting on the shelf and swapped out the pump. I'm running the Avast ATO Neptune digital output with the avast diaphram pump. Thinking I had the problem fixed, I went out to do a few things with my wife. While I was out I would frequently check fusion and hadn't received any alarms. I even noticed one time I physically saw the ATO go from on to off and the switch swap back to open. After the errands I grilled and ate dinner with my family... and put the kids to bed around 8:30.
Time to head back down stairs. This time first thing I noticed was a sucking sound and my sump 3 inches from the top, COMPLETELY full. Never use an ATO res bigger than what your sump can handle if it was to be fed the whole thing. I'm sooo glad I didn't. My pump never shut off even though the apex said that it had. So in the auto position it will turn on but will not turn off... furthermore, I can manually turn it on but can not manually turn it off. I have to physically unplug it to turn it off.
Another thing I noticed tonight was that when I went to calibrate the temp probe I couldn't dial it back any further than 81.1. One more click on the display and it would turn over to 110.
Is the brain dying???? Is the eb8 dying????? Are they both dying??????
