Hi all,
was calibrating my salinity probe and tested the 53,000 fluid it was coming out at 26 , isn’t it supposed to be 35?
Thanks

26 measured by what?
You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.
I used the Milwaukee ma 887
Is the ma 887 freshly calibrated?
26 is low IME. I believe my packets measured 31 or 32 refractive index (the salinity is actually 35 they just don't have a refractive index of 35).

I did 0 it with ROFE813534-ED9D-4C3E-B887-0E212216A966.jpgihave just poked this little gizmo in and it came up 22?
Zeroing with RO doesn't work very well. You need to use 35 ppt calibration fluid (randy holmes farley has a recipe to make this with table salt and RODI).
You second tester is closer to what I would expect since that is about 30 ppt.

Yes think your right , I am going to dry the probe out again and give it another go ,
thanks
