    Fallback OFF

If pHCal > 6.69 Then ON

If pHCal < 6.53 Then OFF

If pHCal > 8.1 Then OFF

If pHsystem < 7.8 Then OFF

You might be an engineer if...You have no life and can prove it mathematically.

Hi i am puzzled to the statement:
If pHCal > 8.1 Then OFF
What is the reasoning for this ststement???
I would like to progrsm my reactor and am confused. If Co2 is on, reactor ph would never get that high...

That is there so that if the flow through the reactor were to increase significantly and unexpectedly (like if the needle valve broke) or the pH probe failed then it would see the obviously high pH level and shut off as a failsafe.

The same issues apply for thing like an aquarium plants doser, though it's much less prone to issues than a mechanical needle valve.
